Catkins Ball
The Catkins Ball, sponsored by The Community Foundation of San Saba County, is an annual fundraiser held the last Saturday in April in scenic Risien Park. It is a gala affair showcased in elegant, tented surroundings featuring a traditional cocktail hour, gourmet dinner, and dance following the live auction.Night at the Museum
One of the community’s favorite spring events is the annual Night at the Museum, benefitting the San Saba County Historical Museum, housed in Mill Pond Park. The fundraiser is the first Saturday in March from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. celebrating Texas Independence with live demonstrations, speakers, campfire cooking, and more. The Annual Lighted Christmas Parade, sponsored by the San Saba County Chamber of Commerce, is the second Saturday in December beginning at 6:30 p.m. in historic downtown San Saba. Join us for twinkling floats, holiday cheer, and small-town magic at its best!

The City of San Saba is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Applications can be picked up at City Hall, located at 303 S Clear Street, Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. and Friday 7:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.

The San Saba Visitor’s Center has information on where to eat, stay and play! The center also houses the Economic Development Commission, Keep San Saba Beautiful Commission, and the San Saba County Chamber of Commerce.
