One of the community’s favorite spring events is the annual Night at the Museum, benefitting the San Saba County Historical Museum, housed in Mill Pond Park. The fundraiser is the first Saturday in March from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. celebrating Texas Independence with live demonstrations, speakers, campfire cooking, and more. Live music and country fixings, cooked and served over an open fire, are also featured for all to enjoy!
The annual Hunters Welcome, sponsored by the San Saba County Chamber of Commerce, is the Friday prior to the first weekend marking the opening of Deer Season.
