Planning & Zoning

The Planning & Zoning Commission is a local appointed government board charged with recommending to the local town or city council the boundaries of the various original zoning districts and appropriate regulations to be enforced therein and any proposed amendments thereto.

The commission works to advise their respective governing bodies on municipal planning matters. The Planning & Zoning Commission may meet once, twice, or several times a month to discuss proposed development, planning initiatives and new ordinances which play a crucial role in shaping the future of the community.
