Public Alert | Boil Water Notice Rescinded

City Alerts

On September 16, 2026, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the City of San Saba public water system, PWS #2060001, to issue a Boil Water Notice to inform customers, individuals, or employees that due to conditions which occurred recently in the public water system, the water from this public water system was required to be boiled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes. The public water system has taken the necessary corrective actions to restore the quality of the water distributed by this public water system used for drinking water or human consumption purposes and has provided TCEQ with laboratory test results that indicate that the water no longer requires boiling prior to use as of September 17, 2026.

December 6, 2025 @ 11:00 am 11:00 pm

Looking for a getaway? On December 6, 2025, take a little drive to “party with a purpose” at the San Saba Strong Fest!

San Saba, at the top of the Texas Hill Country, is nestled among countless pecan orchards, and known as the “Pecan Capital of the World.” This small quaint and charming community sustained devastating damage during the recent July 4th & July 13th floodings.

A group of awesome individuals has organized a “fun time” event to assist the victims of those floods. Mark your calendars and come support this cause to help the San Saba County flood victims on their long road to recovery.
