Due to the forecast for continuing cold weather, “rolling blackouts” of electricity will continue. At this time, the duration of the “rolling blackouts” is up to the discretion of ERCOT and the LCRA. When a “rolling blackout” does occur, please turn off your heating unit and other major appliances so when power is restored, we can avoid an overload of the system which could result in tripping our local substation. The Central Texas Food Bank/San Saba Mobile Food Pantry will be in San Saba on Wednesday, May 27th, beginning at 10:00 a.m. in the parking lot of the San Saba Civic Center. This will be a mobile (drive thru) distribution. The food pantry will continue to distribute food on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month.
