Baptist Disaster Relief is in town and ready to assist in the recovery process. Showers and laundry facilities are setup behind the First Baptist Church if needed. Mud Out Crews will also be here to assist those in need. This is a free service but you must complete an assessment form.

FEMA Disaster Declaration Now Includes San Saba County

President Donald J. Trump has granted a Major Disaster Declaration for the State of Texas triggering the release of federal funds to help people and communities recover from Severe Storms, Straight-line Winds, and Flooding that occurred July 2, 2025, and continuing. This disaster declaration has been amended and includes the county of San Saba. Individuals can apply with FEMA the following ways:
• Apply online at www.DisasterAssistance.gov.
• Call the application phone number at 1-800-621-3362.
The next Central Texas Food Bank/San Saba Mobile Food Pantry is Wednesday, March 9th, beginning at 10:00 a.m. This will be a mobile (drive thru) distribution. The food pantry will continue to distribute food on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month.
San Saba County will have another Vaccine Clinic on Wednesday March 9th at the Civic Center from 10-3. This will be for 5 years and older; for First shots, Second shots and Boosters! For more information, contact Marsha Hardy at 325-372-8570.
