Special Flood Update | Projection of Send Rise of San Saba River
City Alerts
LCRA and NWS continue to project a second rise in the San Saba River. The current model indicates the rise will be around midday today, Tuesday, July 8th, approximately 1:00 p.m. The prediction would be to crest around 24.3′ at 7:00 p.m. this evening with the waters beginning to recede around 1:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 9th. These are projection models with no guarantee of accuracy. However, pay attention to weather forecast, do not be on or near the river with the expectation of the rise. Always be ready to leave if necessary to protect your family, but again, there is no expectation that this rise will result in any increased damages to San Saba County.
